The DEKO HG Fire floor glass makes it possible to pass on daylight to the underlying storeys, and thus allows daylight to be utilised in places in the building where this was not previously possible.
DEKO HG Fire is a single and fire rated glazed element fitted on a matching fireproof steel substructure.
The DEKO HG Fire structure has been tested and approved by the Danish Fire Safety Institute (DBI) in accordance with Eurocode norms with a maximum load of 5 kN/m2, and the whole structure including the glass is classified as 1 (B) 1 personal safety glass.
The glazed elements and the steel structure are tailored individually to each project. The glazed elements in sizes up to approximately 2 m² are either fitted as a single glazed element or as several elements in line with each other supported by the matching T-profile.
The floor glass is supplied as standard with black serigraphy in the edge areas of the glass to cover the underlying steel structure.
DEKO HG Fire has been tested and approved as REI 30 and REI 60 structures, but can, if required, be made with laminated glass without fire classification.
The 90 mm thick floor glass provides a high sound reduction of approximately Rw 55 dB.
The large clear glass surfaces provide a minimalist and exclusive look where the light penetrates the floor, but for reasons of discretion and safety we recommend coating the glazed elements with translucent anti-slip serigraphy across the whole surface of the element so the glass does not seem smooth.
If additional decoration or effects are required, the bottom side of the glass can be decorated with foil which minimises the view from the underlying storey.
